Inspired by Apostle Davis’ Just Beyond The Grief series and birthed from his heart to see people healed and made whole, the Grief Support Group at Refresh Family Church aims to accomplish just that, healing and wholeness.
The Grief Support Group is a starting point on the healing journey from grief. Group members are broken into groups based on their grief and loss needs which can range from the death of a loved one, a change in their phase of life, relationship loss, healthcare changes and more. It is a 6 part session that is self-help based and combines therapeutic and spiritual principles to help group members process through the stages of grief/loss.
In addition to resources, professional support and guided help provided throughout the 6 sessions, group members also benefit from the personal strides and efforts they make within the group. The Grief Support Group helps group members to overcome the feelings of being stuck. It provides a safe space to process grief or loss where members can also feel the support of others helping them stay in or find God's purpose for their life while also gaining the knowledge to be able to help others through their healing journey.
For those who need more intensive grief/bereavement support we recommend continuing individual counseling with a licensed professional and will provide referrals as needed.
